Areas of Responsibility: President, covers the entire Duke Energy territory and much of AEPs southern area, especially in WV, VA, NC, FL, OH & IN.

Jim is a Mechanical Engineer with over 15 years of utility field experience in NC, VA, WV, FL, OH & IN.

Jim handles Duke Energy transmission and substation all territories, Raleigh EPC’s, and Central NC public power.

Education:

• Carnegie Mellon University, Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering

• University of West Florida, Master of Arts in Business Administration

Military Service:

1993—2002: U.S. Navy – Helicopter Pilot

Specializing in Combat Search and Rescue and Anti Submarine Warfare. Over 2000 hours divided between SH-60F, HH-60H and UH-3 Sea King helicopters. Served in Operation Southern Watch.

Retired from the Navy Reserve as a Lieutenant Commander in 2013.
